Rick Warren Says AG in His Camp

October 8, 2008

Greetings in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ,

In Jeremiah, Chapter Six, God prophesies through Jeremiah that He will allow a great enemy to come and destroy Jerusalem and drag off the Israelites who are left into captivity. In verse six, He says Jerusalem “is the city to be visited,” meaning put under siege. Then in verse 14, he says that false prophets will try to comfort the Israelites by saying, “Peace, peace, when there is no peace.”

In the New Testament, after the disciples had come to Jesus privately to ask what the sign of His return and the end of the world would be, Jesus said in Matthew 24:6 that they would “hear of wars and rumours of wars,” and again in verse 7, that “nation shall rise against nation.” Jesus also said of Himself, in Matthew 10:34, “Think not that I come to bring peace on earth; I came not to send peace, but a sword.”

Jesus said later in that same Chapter 10 of Matthew, “The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.”

How is it then that Rick Warren has conspired with government and business leaders to fulfill his “Global PEACE Plan?” (Click the following link to see the Time.com article, "The Global Ambition of Rick Warren", by David Van Biema, Thursday, Aug. 07, 2008.) Why is Rick Warren trying to bring peace when Jesus said that He came to bring a sword? Is Rick Warren placing himself above the Master? Jesus Christ by Name. Is Rick Warren trying to make Jesus out to be liar and saying the he, Rick Warren, will personally ensure, through his global network, that wars will stop and he will achieve global peace? Does Rick Warren think that he will undo Jesus’ prophecies regarding the last days? Remember, the test of prophecy is whether it comes true. And the evidential distinguishing mark of the Bible over all other so-called books of religion is fulfilled prophecies (by the hundreds). Wait a second! This is the same Rick Warren that has repeatedly said with his own mouth that he wants to emphasize deeds (“purpose driven” good deeds) over creeds (the Bible). Oh, and this is that same Rick Warren who has eliminated hymnals from his church because they are too “creedy.” Way too much pointing towards the Bible, Jesus’ redemptive work on the Cross and so on.

So WHY would this same Rick Warren say in a recent Time magazine article (ref. van Biema, supra) that “influential leaders” in the [Salvation Army and] Assemblies of God have promised him their “personal commitment” to his global PEACE plan? Who can tell Rick Warren that the Assemblies of God is “in?” Who in the A/G has the authority to promise our Fellowship to a movement wholly contradictory to Jesus Christ’s Word and Ways (and yet in complete fulfillment of prophecy also in Matthew Chapter 24:24, “For there shall arise…false prophets.”)? Rick said in the Time article that this senior leader merely had “get their board along.” What board can throw the A/G over the fence to Rick Warren? There’s only one leader and there’s only one board. I suggest that the leader is Rick’s old California mega-church buddy, George Wood. And the board is the Executive Presbytery of the Assemblies of God. With men like Dan Betzer who was part of the unanimous EP vote to eliminate Central Bible College a few years ago.

George Wood: please say it isn’t so! Say you haven’t just promised us to the madam of the Great Whore--Rick Warren and his World Church of Global PEACE fame. Have you lost your mind? Have you forgotten everything your father and mother apparently preached and stood for? Have you forgotten all the preaching you ever heard on the end times and the anti-Christ, his world government and world church? Most of all, have you forgotten the terrible end that Jesus promised to all three in the Book of the Revelation?

Repent Now George and Bring the A/G with you into repentance before it is eternally too late!

In Fear for Your Soul,

Brother Mike
