To the Pastor of Bolivar Assembly of God

Dear Pastor of Bolivar Assembly in Bolivar, Missouri,

Why is there no cross at the front of your church sanctuary? And why did you put your Assemblies of God church through the “40 days of purpose” program by Rick Warren?

Do you believe, like Rick Warren does, that the church can make its way to Heaven by good works?

Do you believe, like Rick Warren does, that “God is in everything?” See page 88 of his “purpose driven life” book. So, was God in Hitler when he annihilated six million Jews? Was God in Stalin when he murdered 20 million of his countrymen? Was God in Ted Bundy when he serial raped and murdered around 20 Florida college women?

Do you believe, like Rick Warren does, that the church should pursue world peace? See Rick Warren’s October 27, 2003 email entitled “God’s Dream for You—And for the world.” Do you and Rick put yourself above God and Jesus Christ when Jesus said in Matthew 10:34, “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth; I came not to send peace, but a sword.” If so, the Word of God in Jeremiah 8:7-11 is for you. It is a word of judgment for pastors who refuse to accept or preach God’s Word.

Do you believe, like Rick Warren does, that Christians should involve themselves in Transcendental Meditation? Rick calls it “breath prayers.” See the end of “Purpose Driven” for this reference. Are you leading your congregation towards Hinduism then?

Are you so far from God that you have to have an electronic connection to a man over 1500 miles away to get a “vision?” What happened to prayer and fasting and communing with God during your daily personal devotions? Do you have none?

If you are still open to the truth, if you are still redeemable, then a better book for you to read would be the Bible. And as you examine God’s Holy Word, you might also buy and read “Deceived on Purpose” by Warren Smith.

You are on dangerous ground sir! Repentance is your next step or damnation may be your last.
