Retraction Rejection

Greetings in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ,

I have been told that our General Superintendent was asked by Central Bible College to retract his idea/statement/purpose that CBC would be rolled up under Evangel University. I was also told that his answer was “No, I will not retract.” On a separate occasion, by a separate individual, I was told that he also plans to re-introduce the merger issue again at General Council this summer.

Let me say up front that this is second hand information but in both cases from sources I would consider very reliable and in-the-know.

If these statements are true, I would have several concerns: 1) with this reaction, our General Superintendent is saying that he values a university education (which has its roots in Islam and the French Enlightenment; both of which are very hostile to Christianity) for ministerial training more than Bible-based training of a Bible college, 2) to re-introduce the merger idea, is the General Superintendent going to use sleight-of-hand (Robert’s Rules of Order tricks) to get his way at General Council or will he try to cull the General Presbyters from the voting herd once again using unadvertised Constitution and Bylaw changes just like the last General Council? And 3) if the General Superintendent refuses to acknowledge the denominational suicide of eliminating our only national bible college, then what else is he up to? Are we making more governance changes to steer the Assemblies of God towards the one world church with our heathen Catholic institutions? Like the not-so-subtle change to the ecumenism paragraph in the C&B in 2005? And why has the A/G minister who wants to become the official A/G liaison to the Vatican (he has already performed informally in this capacity for years) not had his credentials revoked at the direction of our General Superintendent? And why did one of our District Superintendents from one of our most populous districts allow a speaker at a district ministers’ meeting to brag openly about the number of homosexual couples that attend his church and how often he goes to mass or has lunch with “his priest?”

Has our General Superintendent bought into the global, we-are-one mantra of New Age (reference Old Hinduism) gurus like Neale Donald Walsch who says, “The era of the single savior is over.”? Mike’s interpretation of Mr. Walsch, “Martin Luther was all wet when he protested the Catholic church. So what if they pray to Mary and dead saints, worship idols and relics, and their pastors sexually abuse children because they are forbidden to marry? We’re ‘all Christians’ here, can’t we get along?” And never mind that Mr. Walsch doesn’t stop with Protestants and Catholics. He wants to roll in Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Animists, Voodoo worshippers, homosexuals and Satanists. This is all in the name of world peace. And what’s wrong with that asks Mr. Walsch.

Is this the kind of leadership you want running what once was the finest Pentecostal denomination on the planet? We are on very dangerous ground dear ones. The New Age is invading our Assembly of God churches under a cloak of very visible, “successful” Christian-labeled ministries. Massive repentance, prayer, fasting and discernment (that only comes with proper biblical teaching from the pulpit and regular devotions) is necessary. Who is on the Lord’s side? Be strong and take courage for the Lord our God is with you--if you will trust and obey.

And lest we all get busy with pulling the mote out of our general superintendent’s eye, what about the mote that is in many of our eyes? How many of you have paid another man to be part of his vision? Since when did ministers of God start paying another “minister” to be part of his vision for evangelization? For example, I refer to the Global Pastors Network gentlemen. I’ve never seen a better pyramid-scheme, feather merchandizing, traveling magic show pitch in all my life! Give more and you’re in a better club that will win more souls! You’ve got to be kidding me! God has never worked in numbers but in the obedience of men to his call regardless of the results. Would you pay if this man said he was going off to Africa or South America to be martyred without winning one single soul to Jesus Christ? That is exactly what God called one of our A/G missionaries to do! It is what He called Jim Elliott to do! What happened to praying to be part of God’s vision? If you haven’t waited on and touched the throne of God on this issue, how do you know there are a billion souls on the planet that are willing to be saved? Jesus said in Matthew 24:14 that He would return when the gospel was “preached in all the world” NOT after one sixth of the human population got saved!

We have become so worldly and cast our eye on earthly praise instead of the heavenly prize. It’s time to fall on our faces before God and repent dear shepherds! Do it now before you become part of the elect that is deceived in the last days. Reject the one world, global church. Retract your payments to the Global Pastors’ Network. Appeal to the God who made the Universe!
